Bring it on 2012!!

So... Wow! I can't believe it's been years.. yes, years... since I posted on here. So many things have changed. The big things? My second daughter was born, I moved back to Oklahoma, I'm going through a divorce, and I've started a new career (or two.. actually)!

Having two daughters is amazing! The girls are best buds and they hate being apart. They are both super full of energy and lots of fun. There is never a dull moment!

Moving back to Oklahoma was hard. Josh and I were so incredibly torn about this decision, but knew it was something we had to. We both needed a change and we desired our children to grow up knowing their grandparents and aunts and uncles. Both of us miss NYC like crazy and not a day goes by that I don't think of the city life, my friends there, and the ministry we left behind. I think the same is probably true for Josh. Our hearts hurt and long for the city.

And the biggie... Josh and I are are going through a divorce. We have been separated for almost 8 months now and though this has been the single most difficult thing I have ever had to experience, I know this is the right decision. Obviously, I'm not going to give out details, but for those of you who are curious, just know is that it is a mutual decision. We are getting along well and are handling all the dealings very responsibly. We believe we are doing an exceptional job of making two homes for our girls. And yes, they are handling everything well.

I started my own business, Epiphany Childbirth Services, as I am in process of becoming a Certified Labor and Postpartum Doula. This new career has been a huge blessing! I have already attended many births and met some of the most wonderful people, clients and other birth professionals alike. I was made for this "job", though it doesn't seem like a job to me at all, it is awesome and I love it!

I also started working full time for an auctioneer company here in Tulsa, and have thoroughly enjoyed it! I work with an amazing group of people and couldn't have asked for a better "real" job. I look forward to work everyday, and that's more than most people can say. I am thankful.

I am sure that 2012 is going to be a year to remember. It has already proven, only 5 days in, that it is going to be challenging. It is going to be an emotional, exhausting, and busy time of learning and growth for me... but bring it on 2012.... I am ready!

I wish you each a very happy new year and thank all of you, friends & family, for your love and support!
